Every three years the 10th Mtn Association organizes an extraordinary tour of the 10th Mountain's Italian Battlefields. The Main Tour itinerary begins in Rome and follows the route of the 10th's 1945 battlefield action to the mountains north of Florence to the shores of Lake Garda. The most recent tour was in 2006, the next one is scheduled for 2009. The best way to stay in the loop for information about upcoming Italy Trips is by joining the 10th Association as a veteran, friend or descendant. You'll be the first on your block to get the details direct from the 10th Mtn. Association organizing the trip.

Want to ski and hike where the 10th trained, but bunk under considerably better conditions? The 10th Mountain Division Hut Association (www.huts.org.) manages a system of 29 backcountry huts in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, connected by 350 miles of suggested routes. This is really getting away from it all, whether backcountry skiing, mountain biking, or hiking.
